First of all, Boston is full of Irish and Irish-Americans, so you don't have to worry about finding acceptance there. Second, except for Macey (don't know where the h*ll she's comin' from), I've never known anyone here in America that didn't like Irish accents. Many, many of us have Irish ancestry and listening to someone with an Irish accent is very enjoyable. I'm sure you will have a great time and get lots of positive attention because of your accent.

Americans love the Irish accent. You will find people trying to get you to talk just to hear it. Boston is the center for Irish Americans.

Some do. In California, it really stands out, more so I think than in Boston.
An Irish woman can get me to do anything. I will listen to them read the phone book. And I know women here get weak in the knees for an Irish accent as well.

I like the accent in most Irish and Bostonian people I have met. I find Irish people to be very civil. Not to mention, even the most ugliest Irish woman is pretty hot.

I like the Irish accent. I don't like the falsetto way some Brit women talk. It makes my throat hurt just listening to them.

We LOVE it. I have an Irish co-worker, and we're constantly back and forth trying to imitate the other's accent. She digs our southern accent, and we love to say "lovely." I'm sure Bostonites will love your accent too.

Depends on who you're talking to. A Lot of girls really dig a guy with an accent. I know I do!

I can only speak for myself, so I will: I love that ****. I speak Irish all the damn time, and I have a scandinavian dialect! I drink guiness, I wish I had a blarney stone, I fight and swear, you name it.

If its not fake sounding - the exaggerated leprechaun annoys me! Bono from U2 - he's OK.
