I'm young, 19. I have had bad people in and out of my life and I feel as if I need to start over and take care of me. I want to get rid of bad influences in my life but I don't know how. How do I do this? Did you ever have to do this?

The only way to do it is to sever ties with them completely. It's always easier to go with the path of less resistance, so if you're trying to better yourself, it'd be too easy to slip in with the bad crowd again.

I don't know your situation, but I had to leave the state at your age to get away from my bad influences. It was hard for a while, but I feel as though I'm exactly where I want to be right now.

Good luck to you and try to find a good support unit even if it's online such as this. I'm all about bettering oneself, so feel free to ask advice any time.

yes in fact i have made a bad habit out of it. whenever i see that someone that i know is becoming a bad influence or is bringing negative energy, i cut them out of my life. i move on and replace them with someone or even something else. it is easier to replace them. that way instead of calling them on saturday night like you usually would, you are calling your new friend or going out to that new club you joined. it will slowly phase them out of your life or just allow for less time together. you will have the control.

Definitely you would have learnt something from your bad experiences.Make use of those and channel your life in a good path.
