Question:
Why am I labelled as a quiet student even though I'm someone who contributes most to class discussions?

How do you define a quiet student?

It just really bugs me that when I was young I was really shy and wouldn't contribute to discussions at all and fair enough I was called quiet but now I contribute to class discussions i'm still called quiet? i was just wondering how a quiet student is defined? Also, when I was younger the teachers would say 'she's very quiet, she just needs to contribute more' and now I do that but I'm still called quiet. It just knocks my confidence, and it seems no matter how hard I try I'll still be called quiet, and I can't work out why?

The rules keeping apart Church and state is particular and crossing those strains can get one into worry, probable terminated. i might answer question if my reaction is solicited via the student yet i may be very careful approximately going any deeper into my very own perspectives and fluctuate her to a pair one exterior of the faculty. that's significant that one in ordinary terms responds to questions unbiasedly featuring all avenues of theory and perceptions whether the do no longer conform with ones very own very own ideals. This on my own is offering information no longer proselytizing for college childrens. As an Atheist I even have been approached and am particularly care-comprehensive to offer the two the perspectives of Theism and Atheism as pupils might desire to settle for information so as that they are in a position to make possibilities based in that information. is this no longer the function of a "instructor"? think of approximately it!

i was that way too and still am. the reason is because people see you as how you where when they first meet you and will always look at you that way. i still get told that i was the shy and quiet one in the school when now i talk a lot and outgoing.

Who is judging how much you contribute? Is it just you saying you contribute "most"? Because if that's just your opinion, it may be false.

And it's not just contributing. If you only contribute helpfully, put your hand up first and don't chat in class, you may be considered "quiet", albeit in a good way!

You're "quiet" because while you do participate in class, you're not disruptive. Although you probably don't start discussions much, either, I'm guessing.

because you don't participate outside the classroom. that happens to me. I take part in classroom discussion but don't talk outside of class.
