Religious point of view: I'm sure SOMETHING would have been said about the world ending in 2012 by at least one of the nine profits of God.
Scientific: The earth-quake in Japan is what people say "A for warning for what's to come". Really? That's a for warning? It was the 5th most powerful recorded in history. If it really was a sign that the world is going to end, it would have been at least number 2 highest or number 1 and on land causing more destruction.
Logical sense pov: Nature has had it's ups and downs. Just because we have solar flares, and earthquakes, and a tsunami does NOT mean the world is going to end. We've had them in the past and we'll have them in the future.
The world is not ending in 2012. You really expect the Mayan's to make a calander for millions of years? The astronomer Philip Plait has stated very clearly that the Mayan calendar does not end in 2012 at all, that it is like the odometer on your car, as each section of the odometer reaches 9 and then clicks over to 0, the next number to it starts a new cycle, so that when all the numbers again reach 0 all the way across the odometer - the last number will change from 1 to 2 and the new cycle starts all over again.
Now stop pasting youtube comments saying the world is going to end, be scared, and all that ****. It ain't happening.
