I'm English, Irish, French, and Norwegian descent but often get mistaken as part-Asian, full-Asian, Russian, or Latina.

I can understand the Russian and Latina. Perhaps even the part-Asian since mixed people can look like anything but the full-Asian puzzles me. Even Asians think I'm part-Asian. A sizeable minority of Asians think I'm full too.

Some tell me I must be adopted. I'm told there MUST have been an ancestor that my family doesn't know about or is keeping a secret. I don't care if they are right or not but it's hurtful when they insist I'm not what I think I am.



@For those that ask why I care so much or why it bothers me. It can be flattery to be ambiguous but what is very insulting and hurtful is when others can't leave you alone. They question you are a liar, ashamed of the truth, adopted, have a family keeping secrets, or a be a freak of nature.

I'm predominately of German ancestry yet I HAVE been mistaken for jewish or middle eastern.

Maybe your ancestors has icelandic blood in them and thats why your asiany looking, think Bjork she has asian eyes and she from iceland which is close to Norway? Just a thought.

There are DNA test if you want to do one you will have to get the permissions from your relatives and it is quite costly...
