Question:
Why do people everywhere hate America and its people?
2014-03-21 00:25:41 UTC
People keep saying that Americans are stupid, ignorant, greedy, etc. Why do they say this sort of stuff? I know that Americans can be foolish and dumb but other people around the world are like that as well.
I look on the news ( I'm in Australia) and when there's a problem in America like someone getting shot the news reporters and other people say stuff like "Only in America" or even say "How stupid can they possibly be?". if its another story. As I said before, I know they can be stupid (especially politicians both American and Foreign) but I feel like people over-react on what they do or continuously write negative comments on their decisions or actions.
And lastly why do people hate America? Besides all the Extremist Muslims and non-extremist Muslims who hate them, why do other countries hate them and want to destroy the US?

I have no issue with the country or its people in the main ( I detest its meddling, dangerous to world peace government mind you). What people do dislike is when certain americans say 'we saved you in ww2/you'd be speaking german if it wasnt for us etc' - wrong, battle of britain was won, commonwealth troops were making gains in africa and russia was decimating germany in the east plus there were more commonwealth troops on D-Day. Then there are americans who have never left the USA saying they are the best country and judging other nations - how would they know?!, americans making sweeping statements of other countries like saying british people have bad teeth - best in the world officially or that indians are not asian as they only see people with slanty eyes as asian - it is in asia. Then there are those who say that the USA is the most free - nah, there are are a large number of more or equally free ranging from the bottom corner of the southern hemisphere to the top of the northern hemisphere. Also that the USA is the most democratic, has the best legal system etc which I have heard is nonsense - it is a direct copy of the british one. People commenting on our gun laws yet we have almost non existant gun crime and when looking at direct comparisons with the USA rather than the ones which dont take into account that the USA has a much stricter definition of a violent crime than anywhere else we have less of that too. Many americans judge everyone on a stereotype as they have no world knowledge historically or currently and patronize and abuse other countries intentionally or not. These are the reasons why people get fed up with americans as those who act like this and 5 minutes searching YA would show you a great deal of them, give the nation and its people a bad name as ignorant and rude.

Like armourer said as well, this ludicrous notion that the USA has ever had the best troops is nonsense but thats another thing that we are told by americans. It has the manpower and weaponry but the troops have never been the best and walked across no mans land in ww1 despite being told not to by the british and french, were equally inept in ww2 whcih had the commonwealth troops with their heads in their hands and have been ever since hence why they never win a war.

I don't believe we hate Americans

what we hated was the Threat of Sanctions against Russia By the US government

it was Sanctions against the Japanese that caused Pearl Harbor yes they Bombed pearl But who set it Up

when will the USA realise what the Words Mind your own Business Manifest Destiny does Not extend across any ones Pond

what we hate about the USA is Its Interfering Foreign Policy's its inadequate education Policy and its Blow hard attitude of the Inept US military they have Not won a war since Lincoln alone outside the USA

when the USA realise we Did Not Give them Permission to be the worlds Police Force your actions in ever war Scare Us

the Most scariest time for me was working with the usmc i knew the VC was the enemy but i stood more chance of being shot by the US foot soldier who was always High

I have Not been to Darwin since the usmc arrived last Time they were stationed in AU they shot and killed australian soldiers and wounded civilians and No one was Found Guilty and we never did Find out who ordered the Issue of Weapons

No Most americans Hate how their Government represent them overseas some actually apologise

My friend in New York have a Good Laugh at the antics of some americans at Home and Overseas Mainly Military and Politicians

This is the best option to get a background check https://tr.im/aMLW0

Currently there are a lot of reasons to perform a criminal background check in today's community. These arguments vary from questions over a spouse's fidelity to misgivings regarding a recently hired sitter. There are several surprising figures out now that strengthen these doubts, and in many instances it is better to be safe than sorry. You may not realize it, but there can be quite a lot of people checking up on you. Potential employers top the list. Companies usually conduct background checks on job applicants primarily as a means to verify the credentials that you may have listed on your resume.

In the beginning I was for Bush. He really touched me during 911 and the lead into the war... ...but then an arrogance grew about him. When people would question any of his reasonings or policies, his response was sometimes very belittling.... Hundreds of thousands have loudly protested the war and about the economy and we feel (whether it be founded or not) that our voices fall on deaf ears. I have questionned other leaders' decisions, but they were able to either explain or carry themselves in a way that, even if I still did not agree with them, I respected their leadership and professionalism. All I get off of Bush is simple arrogance.

a lot of it is 'tall poppy syndrome'. also the self assuredness that the american consciousness puts out, whilst quite deserved, leads a lot of other nations to view them as arrogant. I think very few actually hate Americans (extremists and enemies aside).

The entire English speaking world being constantly bombarded with things like jerry springer doesn't help either.

Yeah it's easy to blame everything on the UK or the western world like the united states! when it comes to wanting our western help they want it like in wars but when we are in them fu-cking counties then they say "we don't want you're help!" but then they need the western money.

Maybe the west needs to look after our own counties and let the rest of the world look after themselves

why not travel to the united states and meet the ppl and see what they are like instead of listing to propaganda that comes on the news

It was always the narrative, backwood hicks you know. So it sticks like Latin lover, dumb blond, tiny China man. A lot of countries are far worse than America and forget them any way I love my same country.
