Question:
Is the world ****** beyond repair?

So, as a growing young man (I'm 14) I have lately been getting more interested in the world around me - and my finding's are disturbing to say the least.

Global warming creates rising sea levels caused by CO2 emissions etc, Oil spills and plastic materials destroy the ocean life and the water it lives in, world population is at an all time recorded high, and so more precious resources are thrown away like they're nothing. Since before 1975 - We have lost around 759,000m sq km of the amazon-*******-rain forest...WHAT!?

You cant walk the street nowadays without seeing a few packets of crisps or straws or paper bags floating around. If you head to the nearest beach, you will see more pollution than there is seashells - and one day its going to be more pollution than there is sand.

And that's only the enviromental part of it!
Politicians stand for nothing but election and war and will say anything to get what they want - look at Ms. Clinton for fucksake! On the other hand you have generalizing, racist, bigoted, sexist assholes who think they can throw people out of their own country just cause, I think you know who I'm talking about.
Then there's the thousands that are murdered everyday whether it's Syria, Brazil, Venezuela or even the United States!
I could list so many other things, but I don't have the characters.

Please tell me I'm wrong. Tell me I'm too young to understand - or that it's always been like this.
If I'm not wrong - can we fix it?

Yes the world is truly f*cked.

But, saying that, there's also good thing to being f*cked.

The world has suffered global warmings before (many times), and has bounced back.

There are current policies in place to reduce the amount of packaging that is being used, and biodegradable ones are being introduced. People are turning towards sustainable produce and materials.

Sadly the 2 scumbags they've lined up to put in power are not likely to help much.

What is needed, sadly, is a removal of surplus population. And yes, both me and my family would in all likelihood probably be in that surplus.

It's a bleak current future, but the world will continue

Not the world, but most species are probably in danger right now. Even humans will suffer the consequences.. a Cambridge University calculation estimates that we will spend $369 trillion by 2200 due to lost resources from man-made climate change. That is a ton of money, obviously

These are all serious issues and exist. Its not that the world is an exceptionally messed up place now, but now with globalisation and the internet we are more connected than ever and as such; more aware than ever. These issues can be fixed and WILL be fixed, its human nature after all :))

Look at where there is no crime, no poverty, no litter, no graffiti, no unemployment..take Switzerland for example..and use that as a model to build all societies.
