Phat vs. Fat
Phat has been used as "Phat Rims" to mean really cool. or Phat " Pretty Hot and Tempting" but can a Fat person also be Phat. As in cool. For example. If a Fat person is comfortable with who they are and has their own vision on the world and doesn't put others down.

Or, if the person knows that they are a complete slob, boarderline diabetic and is taking action and maybe helping others that can be Phat right?

Famous Fat / Phat people
Fat Albert
Jim Ballushi (spelled wrong)
Dr Doolittle
Oprah (between diets) Go Girl!
Madden (Not a skinny guy)

It's a term that was use comercialy by musical

advertisers substiuting the word fat with phat so as

not to be offensive and yet emphasize the the tonal

quality of signal processors, divices that enhance

instrument timbre, whats commonly referd to as

a distortion pedal even more a chours pedal, simply

put, making an instrument sound fuller like 2 guitars

for instants, hence , fattening or phating up your sound,

you see it alot on keyboards and rack mounted

synthersizers, it's basicaly the same thing that happend

with the term heavy metal, that came about not as the

music itself but the kind of strings that were used in

the transition from hard rock to heavy metal, it started

as a slogan, again by music advertizers, example,

arm your guitar with heavy metal, meaning the strings

increased in there gauges or weight if you will, going

from 09 or super slinky to 10 or even 11 medum

to heavy so as to fatten or phatten up your sound . . .

Fat is used with weight [obviously]

Phat is thick or cool. Like saying a girl has a phat [big or thick] *** or that something is phat [cool].

Phat is an adjective used to describe things or activities, usually not people unless you're describing aspects of their personality or abilities.

Fat however is entirely different.

It is slang, it can mean whatever you want it to mean, but here are some common uses.

Dat chick is phat!

Dat hat is phat!

Dat cat is phat!

That fat is phat!

Dang girl, you be lookin' phat!

Like everything in this life, words evolve to mean something that was not intended by the originator. A word can mean whatever you want it to mean, as long as you continually use it in that way and get others to back the trend.

The word 'gay' has evolved at least twice. The same word means 'happy', 'homosexual', and 'dumb' (one which eludes me even now.)

Evolution is seen in language just as much as in the animal world. It's up to you how you want to use a term. It's a "free" world... right?
