what is the difference between irish folk music and english folk music?

I was wondering what the difference between english folk music and irish folk music. For example Mumford and Sons sounds a lot like it could be irish folk music, but I know its english folk music. So I was wondering what the difference is. By the way, I don't think Mumford and Sons should change, I like them jut the way they are.

Just the folks are different.

Irish folk music is good. See Mumford's and sons is a bad example, they are copying Irish folk music, however real Irish folk music is far better.
