Does anyone here find those "CHILD ON BOARD" stickers stupid?

As if a driver is going to think..."Oh, there's a child in that car, I'd better not crash into it...I'll choose that other one."

I just see it as a warning to give that car a wide berth and no the t the driver will never use their mirrors or indicate .

Bremme what if they keep the baby on board sign on all the time, then crashed but the baby was safe at home? Then they would be wasting time looking for this baby that was not there... I am pretty sure that's not the point of them. Also, if it was so easy to read a little postcard on the car I am assuming it is not a very bad car crash.....
Yes I do find them stupid. But not as much as the 'don't drink and drive' ones, or the 'please don't beat your wife' type things.

I think the same. As if you'd drive dangerously with everyone else but be really careful around the car with the baby in it.
My motto is now after an accident, always check twice. If in doubt check again. And if some impatient **** is honking behind you ignore the bastards. It could save your life.
I got T boned a guy who ran STRAIGHT through a red light at full speed.
Why the down thumber? I'm hardly the old granny who takes 10 minutes to do anything. I just mean obey the rules, no car should be given special treatment because of a sign. Drivers should all respect each other.

And where would you draw a line, "Mum's Taxi, World's Sexiest Driver, I Love Man U?" People put graffiti in their car windows and in some cases they are obscuring their own view. If you are reversing in a residential area you want to see that the child that isn't on board, isn't playing in the street and anything stuck on your windows reduces your vision.
I suggest you target those nodding dogs, at least you know they are insured.

Yes, I find them extremely stupid. I think it's rather a girlie thing. I can't think of any bloke putting such a sticker on the bumper of his car!
.... and if the mums are on their own in the car, I almost crumble with laughter because I envision that "baby on board" and look at them ..... like they where the baby themselves because nobody else is in the car .... :-D
EDIT: I find it sad that such a sticker should make other drivers aware of a precious cargo. Every life is precious, so in every car there's precious cargo.

Not stupid but misused.
They're meant to warn the emergency services in case of accident that there may be children at the scene that could be missed in a search, or thrown clear of the wreckage.

In the US in some states its the law so that fire crew know there may be a trapped child in an accident. In the UK people seem to use it as an advertisement for their fertitlity.

Absolutely!
Most of the time there isn't even a child in there!

THIS IS MY ROOM101! I HATE BABY ON BOARD SIGNS! - I think it's more to do with a sign of virility or fertility "Look everyone - my d*ck works". So does the one on your forehead mate!
Stupid Stupid Stupid waste of shiny plastic.

Nope, some people try to race or get road rage when a driver makes a mistake....hopefully they may think again before getting mad knowing there is a child in the car!

No, but it might make you hold back a bit and not tailgate that particular car (well it should do anyway!!) It's just making people aware to back off - precious cargo on board!

And when you DO crash into one the paramedics will be glad to know there is a baby on board. It could easily go unnoticed in the wreckage of a car crash. Idiot.
