why should men pay for dinners, open doors?

in your own belief. i personally believe men don't have to pay for dinner. if someone tells me otherwise, such as.... "you're the man and it's the right thing to do", i'll just respond... "so? what if i'm a man? does that make me any more or less than what a woman is capable off?" we speak about equality, but sometimes it seems that certain roles and actions should be taken by males or females. bleh, just curious.

Anyways, thats cool for like the 1st date I guess, but if theres gonna be a second shes gonna have to kick in too. This is not going just one way. And if you do those nice things all of the time then women just are gonna label you as a nice guy and today thats not a good thing for some apparent reason.



Have her do the same things for you that you do for her.

It is considerate, kind and helpful to do such things. However it is also a social thing that compels men to be the ones to offer such amenities. I often open the door for my dear husband as he does for me. When we eat out either of us may pay for the food. But when in a dating circumstance the man should always try to accommodate the costume of opening doors and such. As I stated it shows the fellow to be kind, helpful and considerate. I don't think men or women SHOULD do anything, but it's really nice when someone buys me dinner, or is polite, or thoughtful. I'll be much more inclined to do the same for them when the occasion arises.

It is a polite thing to do if you ask her out to dinner. After you get to know one another, she can pay sometimes or go dutch.

cos chivalry is a tradition. its the same thing when it comes to, why should girls not go to the army or grow a beard!! its a male stereotype. something EXPECTED from them... its normal. and equality is just a myth. we talk about it, we work to achieve it but FACE it, we will never get it. life was made this way, so that no matter what, there will always be that barrier between males and females. males LEAD, women FOLLOW...
