Newport Cigarette Alternative?

Once again our government has decided to tax cigarettes, making them way too expensive now. Does anyone know of a generic equivalent to Newport cigarettes.

Please don't respond about how cigs are bad for you, I already know that ! Thank You

There is no good alternative to the real thing. I am a former smoker myself and I was never able to smoke a generic cigarette without feeling like I wanted to puke. If you're going to smoke, just get the good ones and smoke 'em. Have you tried those new Camel Crush cigarettes? The ones that you can smoke as regular cigarettes or menthol? This is almost enough to get me smoking again!

Literally ANY cigarette in the US market is better for you than a Newport. None of them are good, but not all cigarettes are the same despite what non-smokers might think. Newports have THE highest nicotine and tar levels of any cigarette, so if you're looking for something less bad, just switch to another brand, any other brand you like.
