why do people tell me to get a life?

they tell me to get a life just because i am a nerd, i look at myself and think life
1. i have a nice car (2008 mercedes benz)
2. i live a very nice neighborhood
3. i have a nice house
4. i have a good job (IT consultant)
5. i am well educated
i would say my life is pretty damn good, i just do not have very good social skills

You do have a life..you have a job,have a home to live,are educated.So anyone who giving the advice of get a life doesn't have knowledge in what ''life'' really is.There opinions doesn't matter.What you have to do is work on it.Be more sociable and try to fit in but not in the expense of being someone who you are not and not with someone who thinks you don't have a life when you pretty much have everything a decent life should have,they just are not worth fitting in.But if its that you are very unsociable and your friends or family saying stuff like that then like i said try to change.Trust me being sociable is much easier than you think.
