If you have a Bible handy you can read the answer for yourself in 2 Timothy 3: 1-5:
2 Timothy 3:1-5
New International Version (NIV)
3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
It was foretold that during the conclusion of this present system of things people would behave as we see now. The Bible also foretold that things would change for the better when Jesus applies the benefits of his ransom to all of obedient mankind. When on earth, Jesus demonstrated what that would mean. He fed the hungry, cured the sick, and restored sight and hearing, controlled the weather, and raised people from the dead. Why? To show what he as King of a global government had the authority, power, and most of all, the desire to do for all those putting faith in his sacrifice and demonstrating a desire to live under the government he and his Father Jehovah will soon establish on earth, just as it has already been in heaven. that was the kingdom Jesus taught his followers to pray for at Matthew 6:9,10:
Matthew 6:9-10
New International Version (NIV)
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
So, if a world at peace with each other, is what you truly desire, it would be wise to find out what the requirements for citizenship of that government are. It is critical for your very survival, for those who fail to do so will not be there. Ask for a free home Bible study from any of Jehovah's Witnesses, or visit our website at www.jw.org.
Another scripture you may enjoy and will give you hope is Isaiah 11:1-9
Isaiah 11:1-16
New International Version (NIV)
The Branch From Jesse
11 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness will be his belt
and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
6 The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling[a] together;
and a little child will lead them.
7 The cow will feed with the bear,
their young will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den,
and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
9 They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
Even the animals will be at peace with each other and us. What a beautiful prospect and bright future lies ahead for those willing to take the time to learn how to display the same self-sacrificing love Jesus did for all of us. Just as we see the scripture in 2 Timothy being fulfilled now all around us, we can be certain the prophesy in Isaiah will be too.
