Yes i know it sounds wierd because i am a boy, but my friend is having a party with a fairy theme and even us lads need to come dressed as fairies. Because this isnt usual for a boy to do, none of us know what to do for our costumes? Could anybody help please?

Go as Puck or Oberon (from Midsummer Nights Dream) - Oberon was the king of the fairies - google images for an idea of what they look like - lots of ivy leaves strategically placed, and a set of pan pipes (improvise with some bamboo and string). think Robin Hood with lots of ivy and some Dr Spock ears!! Or camp it up in a pink tutu and wings. You can make your Puck / Oberon outfit from fake ivy and garden netting - the sort that keeps the birds off seedlings (try garden centres etc) - - a pair of green tights and tie-dye an old t-shirt and some shorts green - this should keep it cheap and you have more artistic licence than you would get from a fancy dress store! Puck is a fawn so perhaps brown furry / velvet trousers drawn in at the ankle (light brown coloured leggings would suffice) and a little set of horns. Have fun!!

Just wear your normal clothes and a pair of wings each - then tell the girls you'll swap costumes with them if they say you're not dressed up enough!

Just wear wings and if you find some, pointed ears, fairies have pointed ears. Send us photos!

You should so wear a pink fluffy skirt and fairy wings! All the girls would love it =]
