How many library cards do you have?

My favorite plastic cards in my wallet are my library cards. (I have four.) These are the only cards that get me stuff for free. All of my other cards cost money. How many library cards do you have? What is the best thing about libraries?

I have two-one for the library system in the city I live in and one for the library in the suburb next to where I live. However, mine are not very free--I recently paid (cough...ahem) $20 in overdue book fees.

What is the best thing about libraries? Well, that's a hard question. Definitely all the money you save from not buying books is a great perk. Free internet is also nice. And a good place to study surrounded by references upon references is nice too. And of course, playing the summer library game when you're a little kid is fun and the free books you win are nice. I have lots of good memories from my library!!

The best thing about libraries is the free stuff, like you said. We never rent DVDs anymore because our library has everything. The late fee is only 15 cents per day (I usually get them in on time, though). They also order a lot of copies of best sellers so there isn't a long wait to check one out.



The online research resources are another great thing. I can look up newspaper or magazine articles from years ago. I can do all my research for school without leaving the house because there are so many journals available through the library website.



There are also a lot of programs for both kids and adults. Our libary has a book club, if you're into that sort of thing, story times for young kids, and a play area in the children's section. Only bad thing about that is that I have a hard time getting my son to leave when we go.

I have two library cards, but technically have access to a third library as I am a university student. So many people don't know that a library card can get you free videos and CD's, too!



The best thing about libraries: finding books that have passages or sentences underlined.

I have 2, for the two cities I have lived in. And then I have my Student ID which works for my college library...so I guess 3. Yes I do like them, I had to finally go get a library because I was going to go broke buying stuff off of Amazon.com.

i have three! one for the library next to my school. another, for the one next to my house. and lastly, is my id card for school, but is used as a library card as well.



the best thing about libraries is borrowing books for free. and you can print a bunch of stuff on the computer for only like 10 cents a page no matter how much ink is used. great reasource place too.



the only downer is an over due payment!! oh and they tell you to shut up a lot!! not the school library though:)

i have two library cards. the best thing about libraries is that you can actually discover something new there. aside from that, you can find peace there, and the best study room for me and you can always learn something new. the library is also important in doing researches, etc.

It's great to sit at the library. It's like being at your favorite bookstore, like Barnes & Noble, except it's free. I like reading staff, borrowing books & movies! And the librarians are so helpful. The best thing is that it feels like home!!!

Actually, since I started bookcrossing, I really don't go to the library as often.. I have so many books that I bought to wild release, but I have to read them before I do it.. so I'm set for books... for quite awhile.. (I literally have them stacked floor to ceiling in my closet .. several over stuffed shelves AND like 10 boxes of them in my basement)

i have 2...one for a library in another town, its HUGE and has this awesome staircase haha...the other one is right down the road and its got the most beautiful view where you can sit outside and read.

1, but i usually order used books off Amazon, so far the majority I have purchased have been uner 1$ plus the shipping and handeling which makes up for gas prices
