Why do people hate Canada?

(Coming from a 100% Canadian)

As of late I have heard much roar over Xbox Live, MSN, and a few people on facebook on Canada hating. Today I sent a message to all of my friends on Xbox saying "Happy Canada Day!" (as I would for the 4th of July for my American friends). Instantly I get a responses from people saying "canada sucks" or "**** canada". Most people wouldn't go into detail as to why that was.. one person, however let me know why.. He claimed the reason he hated Canada is because we are "so ******* neutral"... I'm not tooooo sure why that would be a reason to hate.. I let him know that I am not a big fan of how the USA is going about the war, but I don't HATE the country and everyone in it.. just a few people in charge making stupid decisions. Please if anybody on here doesn't like Canada/Canadians or HATES us.. please let me know why that is. Dis us all you want, I really want to know. But please.. don't just post "Canada sucks" to get your answering points.. those will be deleted and reported as spam.

Anyone who would bash Canada has either never been there to visit the beautiful Provinces or has never socialized with a Canadian. People who make remarks like that are ignorant, never having left their computers or video games long enough to visit the world outside of their bohunk little town they live in. America loves Canada, and despite the morons who disagree, we still have the friendliest border on the planet. Have a nice evening and here is hoping that you get to meet nice Americans in the future.

No, I do not hate Canada! But, they are few things I will nevere understan here. What do you think about call an ambulance, because you have a terrible pain, they will pick you up, you feel very bad in the ambulance, the paramedics get really scared, they drive you to the nearest H very fast...and you have towait there...11 hours!!! After this time, they tell you: "Well, we don't know what is wrong with you, we are sorry, you can go home now...and after 2 weeks you receive a 395 CAD bill for using Ambulance Service Transport (the distance was like 3 KM) What the *** do you think about that???

You ignorant people saying Canada Is full of annoying people and immigrants well how about the Americans that come over to Canada to use our health care and flee from the American army because of its corruption. Or perhaps America is just jealous of Canadians because we are al about peace. We can do pretty well whatever we like and get away with it from smoking pot to downloading movies and music without any restrictions. Jesus in the USA you download 1 ******* movie you get charged or go to jail for a few years. USA sucks

I will admit to hating Canadians.

I'm English-British - but the accent is incredibly grating.

But worse than that, the people are dour and reproving - and there seem to be few exceptions.



The hatred of them doesn't surprise me.

In England, Canadians just have a reputation for being boring.

I want to say that some Americans might Canada bash, because if you really want to know, a lot of Canadians here are quite annoying. I know several Canadians living in the USA illegally and all they do is whine about how wonderful Canada is and the USA is awful(French Canadians being the worst). I see a lot of Canadians daily because I work in international travel and most that I encounter are middle age. Middle age people and older, no matter their nationality, are always the biggest whiners and haters. It sounds like you are speaking with younger teenagers though. Canada is thought of as that boring country to the North that Celine Dion came from . That is a stereotype and I think some just mock it. I really do not think people hate Canadians or Canada. I personally don't like a few because they always try to have arguments about what the USA has done wrong. Most Americans ARE aware of the things the government has done and most experience personal hateful attacks. Plus I am sick of having the same pointless unresolved arguments. I don't hate Canadians or Canada though. I think you just made someone angry and they felt the need to bash on your nationality.

I've only ever met two Canadians in my entire life (I'm Malaysian), but I personally don't think there's anything wrong with Canadians. In fact, I read somewhere that they're ranked as one of the nicest countries in the world. I would love to visit Canada one day.

At Ditto- I work at the airport and deal with Americans 3 times a week, along with people from other countries too. I've noticed that the Americans are the bitchiest of them all. They are never happy no matter how well you treat them.

Well I don't hate Canadians or Canada but I'm not a big fan...I know Canada is a great country and etc...but its soooo freakin cold and that would be one of the reasons I don't like Canada...one more thing I don't like is just Canadian criticizing U.S. all the time when they are not the number one power in the world and they are not in the same situation U.S. is in...I'm sure if Canada was in U.S. place they would be involved in wars or other problems in the world too...(I'm not trying to defend any war, I'm just saying any country in Unites States place would be doing the same thing. )

I have two Canadian friends and one of them goes on and on about how beautiful Canada is and Montreal is a great city with great people and stuff...Americans don't do that, we don't go to Canada saying "Have you been to New York it's amazing, have you been to Seattle, Boston, Chicago, L.A., Washington D.C., Miami, etc? they are all beautiful...

That is my reason for not liking Canada. ( but I don't hate Canada ) :)
