Beauty. 3300 miles of Great Lakes shoreline, 11000 inland lakes, thousands of beaches, the oldest mountains in North America, hundreds of islands, hundreds of waterfalls, the most lighthouses in the United States, thousands of acres of sand dunes, millions of acres of forests, on so forth.

The Wolverine State is home to more public golf courses than any other state. It also has the second longest coastline of all the states (Alaska being #1).

Bad roads and bad drivers....I truck through there very often and hate the split speed limit. On the good side, the UP is very pretty and I would love to visit some of the lighthouses.
